How to find your voice in music

Everyone can sing and everyone has a unique voice signal – like a fingerprint. It can be intimidating when you first start singing, and in order for people to discover your voice, they first have to overcome their fear of digging into their voice. Here are some tips for finding your voice in music.

Don’t compare your voice to that of your favorite musicians.

They are often disappointed by the words they hear for the first time when singing their favorite songs to a backing band or singer. You can spend years singing songs you really like on a CD, and when the singer gets taken away, you may be surprised or disappointed that your voice doesn’t sound the way you thought it would. There is no point in comparing yourself to a seasoned musician or artist in the industry as a new musician. Consider the learning curve of other skills and tools. You’ve probably clapped and tapped your toes to the same tunes – but would you have expected to be able to play drums in this band if you’d never trained? To master any skill in life — not just music — most of us mortals need to be taught, and we need to learn a lot. There are those of us who are “more talented” or have more natural abilities than others who have new skills, such as diving. Music is no different. If you don’t like the sound of your voice the first time you try it, give yourself a break and realize that you have a lot to learn, something you can do if you set reasonable expectations for yourself. When you’re trying to find your 풀싸롱, don’t compare yourself to other musicians — especially professional musicians.

Relax – If you are in the right posture as described above,

you may find it easier to relax while singing. Try to relax when you start singing so you can experience the most natural sounds your voice can give. Start by creating a free and natural sound – this will keep your voice healthy. Once you’re comfortable with that, you can practice other techniques to develop expression, strength, contrast, and character in the right way.

Sing as much as you can – try some teaching or join a choir or choir. Experiment with different styles, genres and groups to find what you like best – some styles may come more naturally to you, which can enhance your natural singing voice. The more you learn to sing, the more relaxed and free your voice will become, as your self-confidence grows. As you become accustomed as a musician, you will hear more of your natural singing voice.
