Activities And Games For Remote Team Building – Webeys

If you had informed us in 2019 that the jamming of balconies remotes working, balcony jamming and hand washing that took 20 seconds would be happening like clockwork by 2020 we would have loved your humor.

Thanks to the introduction of Covid-19 all the examples above have come to actual. For instance:

The pandemic that has hit the world has changed our entire system of functioning including work culture.

With nightwear and pajamas being the new formals and virtual onboarding becoming the standard team leaders are always looking for ways to improve the low morale of their teams and make virtual meetings more enjoyable by incorporating group building activities.

If you’ve been searching for something similar you’re looking, it’s here.

We offer more than 25 enjoyable group-building activities for you to pick a number game so that you can create virtual happy hours for your team during the next Zoom call. A big YAY to less monotony and greater bonding!

  1. Pictionary

There’s been a time when we’ve been, blaming our fellow players for not recognizing the correct word when playing Pictionary but in reality our drawing abilities are comparable to Ross Geller’s keyboard-playing abilities!

To play this well-known game of guessing, divide teams into three groups. The moderator of the team must personally text one person in each group with the word that is to be drawn. To draw one of the moderators can start the video conference and share the screen via his/her Whiteboard(on Zoom) or the participant who is drawing can use their screen and draw using the board with paint.

Each team has one minute to figure out the word. This is the catch: the drawing isn’t allowed to include words, letters, or numbers. The team with the most amount of correct guesses wins home the prize.

  1. Guess Who – Emoji version

Guess Who format exercises are an extremely popular option for icebreakers. Icebreakers exist for quite a long time. They’ve been around for so long, that we shouldn’t be shocked when you tell us that dinosaurs sat in circles and shared fun information about their own!

It’s a twist on the classic version of ‘Guess who’. It is played as a detective game by taking an examination of the commonly utilized emojis that are on every person’s keyboard. To play the game online the players take a screenshot of their commonly used emojis and send it to the moderator for the team. The moderator of the team then communicates the screenshot with members of the team. The first person to figure out who the image is from gets five points.

The process is repeated until each member of the group has shared their screenshot. After the game, the participant who has the most points is the winner of the game.

  1. Do you have a bucket list?

If we could only have one dollar for each moment. We heard someone say “I’m on my bucket list as well!’.

A bucket list is an outline of items that a person would like to do or experience during his/her life. It could be a list of small achievements such as learning how to pilot a kite or even monumental achievements like being a TV host as well as the president of a country.

(Disclaimer The following is a fictional work. Any resemblance to the original characters and real people alive or dead is entirely coincidental)

In this group-building activity, The participants rotate and discuss the top five things on their bucket lists, thus becoming acquainted with each other more.

So what’s on your bucket list?

  1. The Worst Five

This is a fairly simple group-building exercise that is an effective way to break the ice. The moderator of the team selects a specific category such as books, movies games, or books. Every member of the team is then asked to share their worst five choices in this category. They also provide an overview of the category. Since where’s the fun in sharing the top five?

If you’d like to make the experience more exciting, you could group two players and have them play a game of guessing each other’s most likely choices.

  1. Tongue Twisters

“How much wood could an uninitiated woodchuck be able to chuck if a woodchuck could be able to chuck wood? He would chuck do everything possible, and toss the same amount of wood as the woodchuck would do have if it could throw wood” The tying of tongues has been in use since the beginning!

Are there any other tongue twisters you’d love your team members to try? This is your chance to test (embarrass) they live on the screen!
