The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the country’s largest telecom and ICT service provider, saw its revenues grow by 7 percent thanks to a strong commercial approach.
“PTCL continues its outstanding success in 2021,” President and Group Hatem Bamatraf told reporters here. The income of Rs 77 billion generated by PTCL in 2021 is 7% higher than in 2020, thanks to its broadband, corporate and wholesale divisions.”
He said the PTCL group earned Rs 138 billion in revenue in 2021, up 6.3 percent from the previous year.
PTML (Ufone) grew by 4.3 percent, he said, despite fierce competition in the industry. He stated that the U Bank had maintained its growth rate, with revenues increasing by 8.4 percent. PTCL Group had a net profit of Rs 2.6 billion during the same period, the president said.
He claimed that in 2021, PTCL had the highest fixed broadband sales and net additions since 2015, allowing the company to expand its broadband business.
He said that by 2021, PTCL would be the fastest growing Fiber To-The-Home (FTTH) operator with the largest net additions in the FTTH market.
