Types of Cable trays, and it’s selection

Cables can be a tangled mess, but with the right equipment they’re easy to manage. A cable tray is an important part of that equation because it gives you secure support for all those cables running through or near your home! Your choice in materials will depend on what kind environment you live in and whether there are other factors like soil moisture content that influence its longevity too – so make sure before picking one out which best suit both need

PURPOSE:

  1. Cables are protected and easily accessible.
  2. Preventing fires.

The cable tray system that’s right for you will depend on your needs and environment. Some systems have more merits than others, but all work well in certain situations!

Cable separation and segregation:

When installing control cables, please be aware of the danger and keep them separate from cable tray manufacturer in Pakistan. This will help avoid any electromagnetic interference that may occur due to proximity between these two types wires.

Cable tray types:

  1. Solid bottom tray
  2. Channel tray
  3. Ladder tray
  4. Wire mesh tray
  5. Perforated tray

Solid bottom tray:

Optical fiber cables are often delicate and require special care to protect them from bending or kinking. A solid bottom tray provides the maximum amount of protection for your optics, as it will never get tangled up with sharp edges that could potentially damage its surface finish on contact!

As can be seen in the above figure, the general size description of any cable tray can be in Length * Height * Width * Thickness.

Merits:

Strength is good.

Demerits:

The channel cable tray is a great way to avoid the condensation that can occur in wet environments. It also helps with heat dissipation, so your cables stay dry!

LADDER TRAY:

Ladder trays are often used in feeder applications for longer runs of multiple cables. The ladder tray can be cut, shaped and fitted easily into either horizontal or vertical planes to suit your specific needs!

Merits:

  1. Ensures maximum airflow and heat dissipation.
  2. It is helpful to tie with the rungs in the tray.

Demerits:

Compared to other cable tray systems, this one provides less support.

Wire mesh type tray:

Industrial cable trays are an excellent, less expensive alternative to traditional methods of laying fiberoptic cables. The mesh design allows for easy placement and removal of wires without damage or wearer on equipment that can occur when using other types.”

Merits:

  1. Installs quickly and easily.
  2. Cable management options that are flexible.
  3. Rodent protection.
  4. It is lightweight but rigid at the same time.
  5. Cost-effective.

Perforated cable tray:

The perforated cable tray has opened up at the bottom of this one, which is great because you can breathe easier when it’s filled with cables. The holes are there for supporting higher fill levels and better airflow around them – plus they make tying easy!

Tray materials:

Common cable trays come in many different materials, including aluminum and glass-fiber reinforced plastic.

Cable cover:

The tray cover is designed to protect it from any possible accidents that may happen when the table is in use.

  1. Cover for ventilated trays
  2. Cover for the top tray that is solid
