My favorite director (Greg Arky) and his best picture, Mysterious Skin, follows two boys who come into contact with each other through horrific childhood trauma. The Midlands’ attack on the UK’s worst countryside has been mistaken by some critics as artistic violence. But it’s light years better and more interesting than what Eli Roth overestimated.
Vulnerability-Vulnerability
It is a horror gem starring Bill Paxton, a shocking story about a father who loves and trusts his children. He searched for people he thought were demons and tore them to pieces. Loss of Attraction
Sharp and funny visuals so far for a vilely spoiled student courtesy of writer Bret Easton Ellis and writer/director Roger Avery (American Psycho starring the great Christian Bale is another must-see), yet a great character. But I loved every shocking and fun moment in the movie.
Impulse – Teen
Jokes updated with funny results. Surprisingly, it was a blockbuster. But this is the funniest movie of the past year. The characters are nice and funny and James Marsden steals almost the whole story as Big Brother’s gay thug. Seth Green is very supportive because the Amish are fat and skinny and know all about the donkey ring.
Mirror Mask
Alice in Wonderland Meets the Wizard of Oz by Neil Gaiman Mirror Mask is an interesting and well-acted fantasy film for teens and adults. The created world is completely original. And superstar Stephanie Leonidas is perfect as a punk emo-goth who wants to escape her creepy circus existence and get more than she ever expected.
Cashback
An original and dramatic comedy/drama about a young man who breaks up with his beautiful girlfriend and discovers that he can stop time. His insomnia created opportunities to paint on various subjects. It’s cool when time randomly stands still and this movie is in the wrong hands. What is ultimately worth seeing and being seen. All credit goes to the director for making low-budget features more budget-friendly.
This Is England
Writer/director Shane Meadows returns with an autobiography about his childhood and his relationship with a black mobster. A good game, sometimes hard to believe and very convincing, could be about England. United Kingdom But racism and hatred can occur anywhere and at any time in the country. You can call it America.
