7 Types of Beach Towels

Sustainable beach towels are a great way to make sure you stay dry in the water and dry off at the same time. There are many different types of beach towels available, but not all are waterproof or absorbent enough for your needs. You should be aware of the differences between these types before purchasing one for your home or business. A classic beach towel comes in a large size and can be used as a blanket, cover or even just a bathmat. They come in all shapes and sizes, from thick cotton to lightweight polyester blends. You can find them with or without pockets. The best thing about this type of towel is that it’s easy to grab and go when you’re ready to head home or back into the water for more fun!

  1.   Beach Towel with Pockets

These are perfect for those who want more security while they’re out on the sand! They typically have 2 pockets on either side so you can store your keys, phone or sunglasses while you’re waiting at the beach bar or eating lunch at one of the many restaurants located near the shoreline. Plus, they usually have some sort of pocket design on the front and back so you can keep your wallet safe from getting wet!

  1.   Foldable beach towels

These towels are perfect for the beach or pool because they fold flat when not in use. They’re often made from microfiber material, which is lightweight and very durable. The downside? Foldable beach towels do not offer the same protection from sun and wind that regular beach towels do.

  1.   Standard beach towels

These towels are more durable than foldables and often feature more absorbent materials like terry cloth or cotton. Standard beach towels also come with handy pockets for storing your sunscreen, water bottle or other belongings securely during your swims or sunbathes.

  1.   Dry-fit beach towel

Dry-fit beach towels are designed to keep you dry while you swim or sit on the sand. They come with built-in waterproof zippers that allow water to escape if it gets inside the towel’s weave while you’re using it outdoors. Dry-fit towels usually have an absorbent outer layer that wicks away moisture while still allowing air to circulate through so it doesn’t become too heavy.

  1.   Fleece

These towels have a fleece backing and are generally lightweight, warm and soft. They make great picnic blankets, but they’re also perfect for wrapping around your neck when you’re getting out of the water.

  1.   Microfibre

Microfibre beach towels are made from microfibre, which is a type of synthetic yarn with a small diameter thread that’s very strong – it doesn’t stretch or bounce so it keeps its shape well. This makes them very absorbent and soft to the touch. They’re usually slightly more expensive than other types of towels, but they tend to last longer too because they don’t lose their shape as quickly over time like cotton does when it gets wet (or even if you leave it out in the sun).

  1.   Regular beach towel

This type is made with cotton terry cloth and can be used for drying after swimming in the ocean or lake. It is also great for hanging up in front of a door or window so you can dry off without having to go inside to use an interior shower curtain. The second type is a heavy-duty beach towel that can withstand heavy rainfall and windy conditions while still providing excellent coverage from water droplets and sand particles. These towels usually have more durable fabrics used throughout their construction than those found in the first category; they may also have reinforcement stitching throughout their seams to prevent tears during use.
