Parambir Singh is a 1988 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra Cadre. He was one of the most controversial commissioners of the Mumbai Police. His pretty flawless career had taken many black spots as Mumbai CP. Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case and its shady investigation by the Mumbai Police had brought this organization into disrepute. Sachin Waze, an Assistant Police Inspector (API), headed the Mumbai Police’s prestigious Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU). He was given the responsibility of investigating all politically sensitive matters because he was “a Shiv Sena member.”
Everything was going well until Sachin Waze was involved in planting a bomb in front of Mukesh Ambani House and later involved in the murder of Mansukh Hiren. He was arrested and Parambir Singh was transferred. Sharad Pawar had forced Uddhav Thackeray to hand over Parambir Singh.

Sadhvi Pragya was arrested by the ATS Mumbai under UPA rule. She was involved in the Malegaon blast case. But even the best officers of Maharashtra’s police and Chidarambar’s surveillance could not find any evidence against her. She was later released on bail. After she got out of bail, she revealed that Parambir Singh was the officer who physically assaulted her. Parambir had used a belt to beat a woman who was suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Son of Parambir Singh is Rohan Singh. He is married to the granddaughter of the powerful BJP politician from Nagpur, Mr. Datta Meghe. Rohan is married to Radhika. Sameer Meghe is currently BJP MLA, Datta Meghe’s brother. Radhika’s father is Sagar Meghe who runs a successful business in Nagpur and is quite close to Nitin Gadkari. Because of these BJP connections, Shiv Sena did not want him to be appointed as the Mumbai Police Commissioner.
