Remote Inspection Technology

Insight

When it comes to your supply chain, what you don’t know CAN hurt you. Unknown and unmanaged quality issues can impact your entire project.

Our approach to supplier assurance gives you the knowledge and confidence you need in your supply chain. Thanks to the remote inspection technology, you can experience the manufacturer’s workshop for yourself. You can see your equipment while it is being assembled.

How it works ?

Remote inspection combines our expertise in supplier assurance and interactive audio-video broadcasting.

  1. You can schedule a supplier audit, which will be carried out by one of LR’s independent and expert inspectors.
  2. We’ll communicate with your project’s key managers and stakeholders and connect them with our on-site inspector – all using simple, secure audio and video streaming technology.
  3. In real time, our inspector will broadcast what he assesses, allowing your stakeholders to get involved and interact during our audit.

What are the advantages ?

  • Save money, time and travel: By witnessing our supplier assessments, you can reduce the time and number of trips your staff make.
  • Get real-time feedback and results; real-time access to the results of a supplier audit allows you to further examine operational issues.
  • Improve the quality of your audit evidence: your stakeholders have real and indisputable documented information of the supplier, the process, the equipment and the results.
  • Adapt the scope of your inspection; whether it’s a safety visit, a one-off audit, non-compliance follow-up or a real-time investigation into the root causes of a problem, our flexibility allows us to adapt to your needs.

How it use for working

remote inspection technology  is a non-destructive testing (NDT) technique for visual observation of a component or region under test where the inspector or technician uses the test equipment somewhere else.  In order to reach highly limited locations, Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) cameras have grown to a smaller size . Software developments have made it possible to view objective data on screen, record for analysis and report generation later. Continuous advancements in robotics have allowed inspection cameras to move into previously inaccessible areas. A variety of infrastructure types are analysed using RVI.

Remote operations

Tracked robotic systems used for RVI are also routinely deployed for a variety of remote applications, including surface cleaning and preparation, and remote handling or retrieval operations where human intervention is limited due to data restrictions. access or hazardous areas.

Advantages

RVI is a cost-effective NDT method for inspecting capital assets and critical components, monitoring conditions, and preventing failures that could otherwise cause serious environmental damage and increase risks to human health and safety. Remote visual inspection enables timely assessments and real-time assessments without having to interrupt service.

  • Keeps humans away from potentially hazardous conditions * Reduces or eliminates the need for confined space entry (CSE) * No need for scaffolding or working at height
  • No disassembly or loss of production time for in-service inspection
  • Objective data does not depend on the expertise of inspectors.
