Biography/Wiki
Known as a gentle and affable officer, Renu Sharma is quite popular in the aisle of power. She is a quintessential Indian woman – always willing to act out of kindness rather than the law.
Renu Sharma’s suspension order has caused some sort of havoc among Delhi’s powerful elites. This is quite unique and a severe punishment. However, it must be said that there is nothing wrong with this order. She has allowed DTC buses to take migrant workers from different parts of Delhi and dump them at the UP border. There are also many videos showing announcements made overnight that DTC buses will be available for the same and workers will get UP Government buses at the border.
There is also no doubt that Renu Sharma was commissioned by Arvind Kerjiwal. She can’t break the CM’s lock-down rules. Remember that before the Prime Minister, Delhi announced the lock-down and therefore the usual excuse that the Prime Minister announced that it will not work here abruptly. Likewise, DTC buses were allowed to run at 25% capacity. Then how come Renu Sharma allowed buses to run at 50% capacity.
Hopefully Ms Sharma will do justice to her new job and not bow to her political masters as she did in Delhi. Amit Shah should also be given thumbs up for forgiving her major sins. Perhaps he had sensed that she was only following Arvind Kejriwal’s orders.
