Greece is a beautiful country with a lot to offer. Whether you love the sea or want to relax in a hot pool, there are plenty of beaches to visit in Greece.

We have been to Greece a few times, and we highly recommend visiting the Greek Islands. We’ve compiled a list of some of the best beaches in Greece that you can visit in2022.

Platys Gialos Beach, Mykonos

Mykonos is a Greek Island in the Cyclades chain, and it’s a popular holiday destination in Greece. There are a lot of things to do in Mykonos.

We’ve picked out five of our favorite places to visit and see in Mykonos.

This is one of the most famous beaches in Greece. It’s got a nice, clear blue water that makes for some amazing photos.

Elafonissi, Crete

If you are looking for a quiet beach, Elafonissi is the place to go. The beach is small and there are only a few restaurants and hotels, making it a perfect spot for a romantic vacation. There is no crowd, and you can easily find a secluded spot.

Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia

Kefalonia is a small island off the coast of western Greece. The island has a population of just over 25,000 people, so it’s a fairly quiet place.

The most famous beach on the island is Myrto Beach. Myrto is a pretty long stretch of sand, which means it’s perfect for swimming and other water sports.

However, if you’re looking for something more active, you should head to the nearby Agia Marina beach. This beach is much smaller than Myrto, but it’s home to a large number of restaurants, bars, and hotels.

Plaka Beach, Naxos

The first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Greek islands is probably the iconic white-sand beaches. However, the Greek islands also have some pretty interesting towns. Naxos is one such island, and we’ve picked one of its most beautiful spots for you to enjoy the rest of the year: Plaka Beach.

Plaka is a picturesque town with plenty of boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants. It’s also located just a short walk from the beach, making it an ideal spot to spend a day or two.

We visited Plaka in August, but the weather is always good there, so you could easily visit during the summer. There are a number of hotels in the area, but we’ve listed one of our favorites for you here.

Bataria Beach, Corfu

We love to stay at Hotel Corfu Palace in the beautiful town of Corfu. The hotel offers stunning views of the bay and offers guests a lot of activities to enjoy, such as a free-form saltwater swimming pool.

Bataria Beach is a popular spot to hang out and relax. The sand is smooth and clean, making it a favorite for families. If you don’t mind the crowds, you can find plenty of space to enjoy a dip in the turquoise waters. They are many attractions and things to do in Corfu.

Mykonos Beaches

Mykonos is the largest of the Greek Islands. It is also the most popular. Its location, however, makes it the perfect destination for beachgoers. It is located in the Aegean Sea, just off the coast of Turkey.

You can easily reach the island by ferry from Athens, Rhodes, or Crete. The ferries leave frequently and are affordable.

Once you arrive, you’ll find a few main areas of interest. The Mykonos beach is the most famous. It has a mix of hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops. It’s the main place to stay.

There are many other beaches in Mykonos, and you can easily visit each one with a short walk. You can even rent a car and drive around.

Mykonos is an ideal location for families. It’s very safe and has a laid back vibe. You won’t feel crowded in any way.

You can visit Mykonos in the summer or winter. It’s a great option for both. The summers are hot, and the winters are cold.

Sarakiniko, Milos

If you’re looking for a quieter, more laid-back island, then you’ll love Sarakiniko. It is a small island located north of Milos, with just over 1,000 residents.

If you prefer a little more action, Milos is a fantastic place for diving, snorkeling and swimming.

Stafylo Beach, Skopelos

Stafylo beach is located on the eastern side of Skopelos.

It is a popular beach, but it is still pretty quiet.

The beach is mainly visited by families, and it is mostly safe.

Stafylo is a large beach with a long stretch of fine sand and crystal-clear water.

It is protected by cliffs and is perfect for swimming.

The sea has a constant temperature, making it great for swimming year round.
