Candidates must keep in mind that the UPSC Prelims exam is held to screen candidates for the Mains exam and that the scores obtained in this exam will not be taken into consideration for determining the final merit list. Aspirants must review the UPSC Prelims Syllabus in addition to the IAS Exam Pattern for Prelims.
- The UPSC Prelims Exam Pattern states that each paper would have a 2-hour time limit.
- A total of 100 questions will be on GS-1, and 80 will be on GS-2. According to the UPSC Prelims marking structure, each paper will receive a total of 200 points.
