Lost Ark NA vs Korea – What’s Still Missing and Buy Lost Ark Gold

Everything that still needs to come to NA’s version of Lost Ark.

Lost Ark has been out for months now in the west. It still has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to be on par with the Korean version. The Korean version is constantly being updated, so it will take some time when game content releases around the same schedule. But at the moment, the North American version of Lost Ark is missing many classes and two big continents.

The Korean version also has way more raids and dungeons, allowing them to gain more Lost Ark gold. There is more story content in this version as well. Some quality-of-life differences may also be different. It is hard to pinpoint the differences between the two versions there as the west version has got plenty of quality-of-life updates not present in the Korean version.

Anyway, let’s jump into the main things the NA version is still missing.

Classes

Arcanist

The Arcanist is a Mage Advanced Class that uses unique cards to perform a variety of functions thanks to her Magick. From cutting up opponents with a flood of thrown cards to conjuring powerful Magick attacks or team effects from the cards themselves, the Arcanist has numerous options.

The “Card Deck” specialty skill is this class’s gimmick. When the player lands an attack, the Card Meter charges. A card with random stats appears on the Card Deck after the meter is completely charged, allowing it to be pulled out and utilized for powerful damage, buffs, and debuffs. This class is coming to the NA version in July.

Summoner

The Summoner is an Advanced Class for Mages that can summon elements and call on her abilities to create magical creatures to help her in combat. The Summoner’s spirit summons has unique skills that enable her to get out of most situations. This class has incredible flexibility but is primarily a ranged damage dealer. The Summoner was supposed to be in the Western version at launch but was swapped with another class.

Reaper

The Reaper is an advanced Assassin class that uses invisibility and lightning-fast blade assaults to bring terror to the battlefield. The Reaper is a force to be reckoned with. However, it seems the Reaper is considered one of the worst classes in the Korean version. The class started too strong and now has been nerfed too much, making the class not very good in most situations.

Scouter

The Scouter is an advanced class for the Gunner. The Scouter uses an Assault Rifle and a drone to unleash a barrage of bullets, lasers, and missiles. The Scouter can use the drone as an extension for himself. The Scouter can capture the drone and fly enemies to deal damage. The drone changes form and can be connected to the Scouter’s hand to become a laser cannon. The Hyper Sync skill transforms the drone into a suit of armor. You have a limited amount of time while in this mode, but you do gain more powerful strikes, a shield, and other special abilities.

Artist

The Artist is the latest class to be released in the Korean version. She is a support class mainly, but might be able to do some damage, but not as much as other classes. The Artist uses a giant paintbrush infused with magic to do damage in large areas and provide heals and buffs for teammates. One of the funnier moves is being able to use the brush as a pogo stick, dealing damage to enemies nearby.

Content

More Continents

So far only two continents are missing from the NA version:

  • Elgasia
  • Rowen

Rowen is a PvP type of continent. There are some areas where players can traverse safely without getting one-shotted by players who put a lot of money into the game. You must have a minimum gear level of 1445 to go to this continent. This area is also a good source of Lost Ark Items and Lost Ark gear.

Elgasia is a floating continent in the sky. It looks gorgeous, the floating cities and areas are surrounded by luscious clouds. The cities themselves have angelic-like structures that make some parts of the continent look peaceful.

Dungeons and Raids

There are plenty of dungeons, raids, and story quests that the western version doesn’t have yet. With more endgame content and limited time events, Koreans have way more activities to earn Lost Ark currency. It makes sense, with two more continents that have new areas with quests that also progress that area’s story, letting you gain more rewards.

Conclusion

In short, there is still a lot of content to be added in the NA version. This is a good thing, if you are still having fun, then you still have plenty of content to look forward to. However, it is unknown when these will make it to the NA version. But with the game getting new content just about every month, it shouldn’t be more than a year before we start to catch up to the Korean version. Hopefully soon, because the Korean version has more content that helps with getting more Lost Ark gold and Lost Ark gear.
