The WhatsApp voice message player has recently been rolled out for iPhone users. This allows you to listen to different voice messages even if you leave the chat. The feature is slated to be released for Android phones soon, but the company has already released it for WhatsApp Desktop.
The feature is currently only available in beta for WhatsApp Desktop, but this means it will be released as a stable update soon. The chat messenger owned by Facebook will allow users around the world to test the voice messaging player before it rolls out to everyone.
The news was shared by none other than WABetaInfo.
As shown in WABetaInfo’s screenshot, playing a voice message will now display a compact audio player at the bottom of the chat screen. This gives you control over the playback of voice messages and also shows a progress bar to show you when it ends. It allows you to play voice messages even when you leave a chat.
As mentioned before, the feature is already available in the latest beta version of WhatsApp Desktop around the world. This means you can test the feature yourself if you download the beta version for your laptop/desktop.
There’s no word on when Android will get it, but it shouldn’t be long.
